ABOUT THE BAND

When people think of jazz, they usually think of a small, crusty club with more people onstage than in the audience. Strange Summer wants to turn this stereotype on its head. The keys/drums duo, composed of longtime friends Henry Roseman and Calvin Lundin, makes fast-paced instrumental fusion that can go anywhere it wants to. After tiring of playing what felt like the same 10 songs over and over again with their school band, they decided to take matters into their own hands and create a space where they could play music that feels like them.
